At what age do you start seeing youth clients?
We offer specialized therapy for youth clients ages 8 and older, depending on provider availability.
How involved are parents in the sessions?
Therapy is private between the therapist and the youth. We collaborate with parents/guardians to share general goals and progress while respecting the youth's confidentiality and fostering their trust in the process.
However, it is important to note that in particular children, child and family therapy is most successful when parents/caregivers play an active part in their child’s therapy. we do make sure our children and youth feel safe in disclosing and their confidentiality is important. Our goal is to provide a safe space for children to explore emotions, build resilience, and develop skills, while supporting parents in understanding and strengthening family relationships.
What therapeutic modalities are used for youth?
We use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR for trauma, and Strength-Based and Solution-Focused modalities, tailored to the adolescent experience.
